| A fantastic image of Lancaster IQ-U, NN742. This lanc flew on three-operations from Fiskerton. It was a Mk B1, part of a batch of 100 Lancs ordered from Austin Moters,Longbridge and was fitted with Merlin 24 engines. The batch was delivered between March 1944 to February 1945. NN742 was delivered to 150 Sqn in Oct 1944. Total number of ops is unknown but she was broken up for scrap in May 1974. |

150 Sqn crew image. From the left - Len Buckell M/U; Ken Brotherhood F/E; Bill Mann RAAF Nav; Gordon Markes Pilot; Danny Driscoll R/G; Vernon Wilkes A/B; and Frank Petch RAAF W/Op. They joined 550 Sqn at North Killingholme doing 20 ops - then helped reform 150 Sqn at Fiskerton - flew 3 ops, all in IQ-B NG264 - 16 Nov 44 Duren, 18 Nov 44 Wanne Eickel and 21 Nov 44 Aschaffenburg. They moved over to Hemswell and completed their tour of 36 ops.
