From a southern Ontario, Canada newspaper.  Dad is back row left.
(Marlene added these comments to this picture of her parents.) I believe this was mom & dad's "original" wedding picture. They were married on August 20, 1945 at the register office in Horncastle, Lincoln. She was 17 and he was 22. When mom arrived in Canada, her Romanian mother-in-law would not accept her as dad's wife until they had a church wedding blessed by the priest. At that time, they were living in my grandparent's home in Windsor, Ontario so they had to remarry in the Romanian Church in August of 1946. Grandma Ranchuck was finally happy!
.
Mrs Elizabeth Ranchuk This was taken on the "war bride & wounded" ship from England to Canada.
